The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 proudly announces Tadd Fowler as its Spring 2024 Executive-in-Residence. He currently holds the position of Senior Vice President at The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G). In his role as Executive-in-Residence, Fowler will deliver a dynamic keynote presentation open to the public, conduct mentoring sessions for students, deliver guest lectures, participate in meetings with Barton School leadership to discuss program and curriculum innovations, as well as engage in various other activities.

March 6, 2024 Four undergraduate students from 麻豆传媒 were among the 18 students recognized at the 22nd annual Kansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (K-INBRE) Symposium in Manhattan, Kansas.

Hurricane Michael-caused erosion at the South End archaeological site on Ossabaw Island, Georgia.

Matt Howland, assistant professor of anthropology and archaeology, is using Geographic Information Systems software to model how such coastal change and damage could occur. GIS is used to record, store, analyze, visualize, and interpret geographic data, and has become an important technological tool for archaeologists, particularly in determining changes across landscapes.

The Collegiate DECA chapter at 麻豆传媒 continues to showcase the remarkable talent of its students. DECA, an international association connecting students to business and professional development opportunities, saw the 麻豆传媒 team compete in a statewide competition in Hillsboro, KS on February 23rd. Eight 麻豆传媒 students won eleven medals qualifying them for the upcoming national competition in Austin, Texas, from April 20th to 23rd.

Feb. 27, 2024 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend 麻豆传媒 and major in entrepreneurship.

Feb. 26, 2024 鈥 麻豆传媒鈥檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of 11 high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program. The Wallace Scholarship recipients will receive $30,500 each to attend Wichita State for four years.

麻豆传媒 Concert Chorale Heads to Denver - Students in Wiedemann Recital Hall

In a historic moment for 麻豆传媒, the 麻豆传媒 Concert Chorale is set to make its mark at the Southwestern Region American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Convention in Denver, CO., on Saturday, March 2. This significant achievement marks the first time in 30 years that 麻豆传媒 will be represented at an ACDA event.

On Saturday, February 17, 2024, the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 hosted its first-ever 鈥淏eyond鈥 Hall of Fame gala. The event took place at the beautiful and iconic Mark Arts and inducted three members into its inaugural class: W. Frank Barton, former president of Barton Distributors and co-founder of Rent-A-Center; Clark Bastian, chairman of the board at Fidelity Bank; and Fran Jabara, founder of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Barton School of Business. Business and university leaders, community members, esteemed alumni, and family and friends of the inductees attended. Each honoree was recognized in a special manner and received their well-deserved awards. Family members of Frank Barton and Fran Jabara accepted these posthumous inductions on their behalf.
