Students use a well at the new hydrogeology site

Dec. 17, 2019 -- Thanks to Andrew Swindle, 麻豆传媒's hydrogeology professor, the university now has a hydrogeology field site for students and researchers. This site is the only one of its size in Kansas and the surrounding states.

Dec. 16, 2019 -- Courtney Powers, music director at South Philadelphia High School, is in the running for a Grammy of her own for her work in music education. She is currently one of 25 quarterfinalists for the award.

Dec. 13, 2019 -- Katlyn, a student at USD 259鈥檚 Levy Special Education Center, has cerebral palsy and is nonverbal. Three Wichita State Engineering students have made communication a lot easier for her as a class project this semester.

Dec. 12, 2019 -- Stella Yang has served in many roles on campus since she enrolled in 2016, including business senator and treasurer of Student Government Association, as well as vice president of Asian Student Conference.

Dec. 11, 2019 -- Noah and Shauna Holloway are education majors in the Teacher Apprentice Program at Wichita State. They are parents of two who took classes while teaching full-time. They earned their degrees with help from family and by working with professors when life intervened.

Dec. 11, 2019 -- Wichita State graduate student Tammy Dorsey and her company, Prenatal Hope, recently reached a No. 11 rank on the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School鈥檚 Most Fundable Companies List.

Dec. 11, 2019 -- Wichita State senior Gavrilla Arya excelled as a biological sciences major and helped the golf team to the 2016 NCAA regional. A native of Indonesia, Arya earned academic All-American honors four times.

Dec. 10, 2019 -- During Sydney's time at Wichita State she took courses that influenced her experiences and career path. She's loved her time on campus and appreciates all the opportunities she's lucked into.

Dec. 10, 2019 -- 麻豆传媒's holiday shutdown hours will begin on Monday, Dec. 23 and go through Wednesday, Jan. 1. Some department hours will vary.

Dec. 9, 2019 -- A $1.25 million gift from the estate of 麻豆传媒 alumnus Brenton D. Myers will support the 麻豆传媒 College of Engineering, where Myers earned the degree that helped him build a lifelong career in engineering and airport planning.

Dec. 6, 2019 -- Texas native Michaela Marioni moved to Wichita when her husband was stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in 2015, and she decided to enroll at 麻豆传媒. Originally a veterinarian medicine major, Michaela discovered her talent for video editing in a class and pursued it with a passion to her graduation this month.
