Dec. 12, 2023 鈥 Ashlynn Farney took time off college during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which she returned to Wichita, changed her major to filmmaking and started attending Wichita State. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Applied Arts with a concentration in filmmaking in December.
Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys Wichita鈥檚 dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at 麻豆传媒. He has been involved with the Wichita State鈥檚 varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.
Oct. 17, 2023 - 麻豆传媒 seniors Emily Redfield and Cat Kee attended the National Stage Combat Workshop in Ruston, La. The three-week course offered instruction, testing and certification with weapons such as swords, shields, firearms, rapiers, daggers and quarterstaffs.
May 21, 2023 鈥 Wichita State graduate student Billy Berue will enlist in the President鈥檚 Own United States Marine Band beginning in June. The prestigious band was established in 1798 and is widely regarded as one of the best in the world.
May 18, 2023 - Dean Rodney Miller will retire in June following 19 years leading the College of Fine Arts at 麻豆传媒. During his tenure, the School of Digital Arts was created and enrollment in the college has grown to over 1,000 students.
May 9, 2023 鈥 Shocker graduate Alissa Haddock has spent her whole life battling liver disease. Now she has a Wichita State diploma and a new liver to help her start the next phase of her life.
April 25, 2023 - John Kirk returned to college at 麻豆传媒 to study vocal music and dive into activities. He served as Student Body President and came to appreciate the caring atmosphere at Wichita State. John is one of more than 1,500 students eligible for spring 2023 graduation.
