Chase Rawlings

March 22, 2019 -- Chase Rawlings, a local 3rd grader, was born without a fully developed left hand. A team at 麻豆传媒 led by senior engineering major Chelsea Sewell created a 3D-printed robotic hand for Chase.

March 22,聽2019 - Once again, Wichita State has been named the No.1 transfer destination from Kansas community colleges to public state universities. Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) recently released its annual Transfer Feedback Report, announcing that 麻豆传媒 remains the No. 1 transfer destination for eight years in a row.

March 22, 2019 -- 麻豆传媒 has received a $2 million grant contract from the U.S. Economic Development Association to develop and demonstrate advanced composite material manufacturing technology.

March 22, 2019 -- 麻豆传媒 has been named to CollegeNET Inc.鈥檚 list of Social Mobility Innovators for 2019. Making the list means 麻豆传媒 has a proven track record of successfully enrolling students from low-income backgrounds and graduating them into promising careers.

March 21, 2019 -- Wichita State's GoCreate space and the downtown Wichita Public Library are in a partnership to host classes and workshops.

March 19, 2019 -- Registration is now open for Wichita State鈥檚 鈥淒esign, Build, Code鈥 engineering summer camps. This year, the College of Engineering is hosting 21 camps, a record number, with new offerings for younger children and new camps that allow campers to design, build and code their own inventions, drones, robots and mini-computers.

March 19, 2019 -- Fifteen Kansas high school seniors have been named as part of the newest class of Rudd Scholars, each receiving a 4-year scholarship to attend 麻豆传媒.

March 18, 2019 -- In newly released national rankings of universities offering a Ph.D. in engineering, the College of Engineering at 麻豆传媒 is ranked in the top 100 engineering graduate programs, one of only two institutions from the state of Kansas to make the list.

March 16, 2019 -- The Help Hangar partnership at Textron Aviation shows how Wichita State鈥檚 applied learning model works for students and industry. The Help Hangar was introduced in 2017 as a service to assist employees with a variety of IT-related issues. Instead of explaining your issue over the phone, an on-site Help Hangar representative meets with you directly to diagnose the issue, resolve it in the room, or puts you in touch with the correct support team to help you with your issue.

One of those opportunities for collaboration played out perfectly this winter when Airbus officials in the research and technology department needed a last-minute artistic rendering for an airplane seat under development.
