Dec. 2, 2019 -- Gabrielle Owens surrounded herself with strong mentors she could look to when she doubted herself at Wichita State. She also took advantage of the opportunities offered through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to successfully complete her master鈥檚 degree.

Nov. 26, 2019 -- Nathan Light, a senior studying video production at 麻豆传媒, spent his summer creating a documentary over the slapstick comedy film, King Kung Fu. The filming process taught Nathan the ins and outs of video production, editing and seeing his vision come to life.

Nov. 21, 2019 -- 麻豆传媒 is in the middle of a six part sustainability plan to develop and promote initiatives leading to a greater use of resources on campus. The initiatives revolve around facility improvements, new curriculum opportunities and overall student impact.The second goal of these efforts is to focus on reducing the carbon footprint on campus.

To help with this, Wichita State set aside $1 million to establish the Sedgwick County Access Grant, a need-based financial award for incoming freshmen.

Nov. 18, 2019 - Shocker Share a Meal is a texting service that alerts current 麻豆传媒 students via notification when there is leftover, free food available on campus. The service began in August of 2019 and helps reduce food waste and insecurity on campus.

Nov. 14, 2019 -- Junior business management major Maribel Sanchez is taking full advantage of the opportunities provided by Wichita State. She is a first-generation student, Gore Scholar, studied abroad in the Netherlands this past summer and was invited to speak at a national conference.

Nov. 11, 2019 -- Richard Martin was only 18 years old when he was drafted into the Army Air Corps. Now he鈥檚 94 years old and the last living member of his squadron.聽On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the students of 麻豆传媒 102 鈥淚nnovations of WWII鈥� met him in the Ablah Library C-Space.

Nov. 8, 2019 -- College of Engineering Dean Dennis Livesay has constructed an elaborate, storied LEGO city in his basement over the last six years. Most of it is his own creation and has ties to his personal history.
