March 26, 2021 鈥 麻豆传媒鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) announces the addition of two new technologies to its Automated Technologies Laboratory for Aerospace Systems (ATLAS): a fully integrated thermoplastic welding system and a prepreg tape slitting and tow-rewinding machine.

2021 Rudd Scholars

March 25, 2021 鈥 The fourth class of Rudd Scholars includes 19 Kansas high school seniors who will attend 麻豆传媒. Each recipient will receive a full-ride scholarship, which includes tuition, fees, on-campus housing and considerable networking/coaching support along the way. All Rudd Scholars are from Kansas and will attend Wichita State, Emporia State or Fort Hays State.

Michael Golomb

March 25, 2021 -- The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 has launched its Entrepreneur in Residence program and named Michael Golomb, founder and CEO of FanVestor, as its newest resident. This distinction will last through the spring 2021 semester. Each Entrepreneur in Residence will provide essential collaboration and outside industry knowledge to Barton School students, faculty and the Wichita community.

March 24, 2021 鈥 Brittany Wojciechowski, a 麻豆传媒 Ph.D. student in aerospace engineering, has been awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation鈥檚 (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF), which is worth more than $120,000.

March 17, 2021 -- With the help of Koch Industries, Make48 is bringing its 48-hour collaborative inventor and maker challenge to Wichita. 麻豆传媒鈥檚 GoCreate, A Koch Collaborative will host the event scheduled for June 24-26.

March 17, 2021 鈥 Students who had their graduation ceremonies postponed due to the pandemic will finally get their moment 鈥 along with this year鈥檚 newest graduates 鈥 during 麻豆传媒 commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15, at Charles Koch Arena.

March 17, 2021 鈥 Wichita State began developing the Shocker Neighborhood coalition to engage and empower the neighborhood communities surrounding campus. Since then, the commitment has expanded to include 10 neighborhoods and now engages with the community to provide resources, scholarships, academic support programs, mentoring and additional enrichment programs for neighborhood students.

In 2014, John A. See donated $1 million to provide prizes to Wichita State faculty and students conducting outstanding research.

March 15, 2021 鈥擳he W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 has added a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) to its wealth of degree options for graduate students. The new MSBA was developed as an interdisciplinary program with resources and faculty from the Barton School as well as the College of Engineering and the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts & Sciences to address the growing needs of industry.

March 11, 2012 -- Former 麻豆传媒 President Eugene Hughes has died. Hughes was president from 1993 until his retirement at the end of 1998.

March 11, 2021 鈥 Yuki To, senior at Wichita East High School, is the winner of the 2021 Lenora N. McGregor Endowed Scholarship at 麻豆传媒.

Boeing 737

March 10, 2021 鈥 麻豆传媒鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research has received delivery of two Boeing 737 aircraft for modification. The aircraft are part of a year-long project with Virginia-based Dynamic Aviation to modify three 737 aircraft for a special-mission program.
