Former Wichita State First Lady Deborah Bardo dies

April 15, 2022 鈥� Deborah J. (Davis) Bardo, former first lady of 麻豆传媒, died April 15, 2022. Mrs. Bardo was married to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 13th president, Dr. John Bardo, for 44 years until his death on March 12, 2019. She is survived by their son, Christopher.

Wichita State's MagicHand team takes project to NSF Innovation program

April 15, 2022 - MagicHand, an anthropomorphic robotic hand designed by a 麻豆传媒 engineering team, is participating in the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps program. The MagicHand is designed to achieve various dexterous object manipulation including object sorting, arranging and packaging. The MagicHand team began the seven-week path to commercialization in March.

13 teams advance to Shocker New Venture Competition Trade Show

April 15, 2022 鈥� Thirteen teams of 麻豆传媒 students advanced to the Trade Show round of competition in the Center for Entrepreneurship鈥檚 Shocker New Venture Competition. The Shocker New Venture Competition will award start-up capital to aid competitors in the launch of their new ventures.

April 14, 2022 鈥� Dr. Shirley Lefever has been named as 麻豆传媒鈥檚 next executive vice president and provost, effective immediately.

麻豆传媒 design to modify planes for wheelchair access gets international recognition

April 7, 2022 鈥� A team from 麻豆传媒鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research has received international recognition for a design that would allow WC19 certified manual and power wheelchairs to be used as a seat on board commercial airlines.
