New director hired for Wichita State Center for Entrepreneurship

Feb. 15, 2022 鈥� The Center for Entrepreneurship at 麻豆传媒 has hired Troy Tabor as its new director, effective Jan. 23.

Regent Jon Rolph to serve as next Executive-in-Residence at 麻豆传媒 Barton School of Business

Feb. 14, 2022 -- The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 has named Jon Rolph, president and CEO of Thrive Restaurant Group and a member of the Kansas Board of Regents, its Executive-in-Residence for the spring 2022 semester.

Internships with Lockheed Martin and Toyota help electrical engineering student prepare for the future

Feb. 11, 2022 -- Nicolas Reyes 鈥� a junior studying electrical engineering in Wichita State鈥檚 Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering 鈥� has always wanted to work in the aviation industry. He finally got his chance this past summer when he completed a virtual internship with Lockheed Martin. While there, Nicolas worked on the F-35 Lightning II for their location in Fort Worth, Texas.

Estate gift from the late Richard 'Dick' Smith will fund $11 million in scholarships at Wichita State, KU

Feb. 9, 2022 鈥� A bequest from the estate of Richard "Dick" Smith will provide about $5.5 million each to 麻豆传媒 and the University of Kansas to endow full-ride scholarships for students at each university.

Catching up with Klose recipient Juan Aguilar

Feb. 8, 2022 鈥� Four years ago, Juan Aguilar made a decision that is about to make his last two years in college a whole lot more affordable. In 2019, Aguilar 鈥� a first-generation student from Garden City, Kansas 鈥� applied for the Doris and Ralph Klose Scholarship, which covers tuition, books and fees for juniors and seniors who are studying math or science education at 麻豆传媒.
