The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 announces the launch of SPERO, an organization aimed at unlocking the potential of Wichita and its citizens. SPERO, which is Latin for 鈥渉ope,鈥� has a dual focus: preparing individuals to transform their lives through meaningful employment and guiding the efforts of citizens and organizations acting to advance Wichita鈥檚 prosperity. For its inaugural year, SPERO will benefit from a $400,000 contribution from the Charles Koch Foundation.

Construction on the Wichita Biomedical Campus continues. Construction workers have placed utilities and patched over the trench, reopening traffic to Williams Street.

The deadline for merchants and vendors to join in the Shocktoberfest Family Weekend events is Aug. 31.Shocktoberfest is a public event Sept. 30-Oct. 5 open to the entire campus and Wichita-area community. It is 麻豆传媒's biggest annual celebration of Shocker pride.
