May 14, 2024 - The 麻豆传媒 Cricket Club will soon play matches near campus at Dr. Glen Dey Park. The club held a groundbreaking ceremony in April.

July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore Wichita State鈥� is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

Feb. 18, 2022 鈥� The entrance to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Innovation Campus on the corner of 21st and Oliver streets is about to get a Shocker makeover with new signage and landscaping.

Oct. 16, 2021 - Later this fall, pickleball becomes permanent on campus at the Heskett Center鈥檚 Outdoor Sports Complex. 聽When it became necessary to resurface six tennis courts, John Lee, director of Campus Recreation, decided to do something different. The complex will feature four pickleball courts, two courts for tennis and two existing courts for half-court basketball and one for futsal.聽

Aug. 24, 2021 鈥� A precious piece of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 story was almost lost to the dusty shelves of history 鈥� if not for the historical instincts of a faculty member.

April 23, 2021 - By mid-July, Neel and partners Luke Luttrell and David Hopkins expect to open Social Tap Drinkery and Create Kitchens in a 5,680 square-foot space聽at Braeburn Square (4510 E. 19th St.) on 麻豆传媒鈥檚 campus. Create Kitchens will feature two restaurant spaces - Sungrano Pizza and one to be named later. Both are virtual kitchens with carry-out only and a multitude of ways to order and pay 鈥� apps, QR codes, kiosk and in-person.

April 23, 2021 鈥� 麻豆传媒鈥檚 first Belonging Plaza will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, directly east of Weidemann Hall. Belonging Plaza is an outdoor pop-up commemorative gathering and programming tool designed to move to different locations on campus.

Oct. 29, 2020 - Campus construction continues and new partners continue to join 麻豆传媒. An update on progress around campus includes Woolsey Hall, new home to W. Frank Barton School of Business, Hyatt Place and The Smart Factory @ Wichita.

Oct. 28, 2020 - Tyler Pennick, director of videography for Wichita State鈥檚 Office of Strategic Communications, created a documentary about WuShock in bronze. After two years of development, the documentary was accepted into the Tallgrass Film Festival and awarded for its success.

Sept. 29, 2020 -- 麻豆传媒 is taking a step forward with community discussions about a University Village initiative, which seeks to create a community destination of dining, entertainment and shopping adjacent to campus.

Sept. 16, 2020 -- A first-of-its-kind WuShock sculpture was unveiled and dedicated Tuesday at the entry plaza of the Steve Clark YMCA and Student Wellness Center.

Aug. 24, 2020 鈥� Building a stronger, more profound connection between the Wichita State main campus and its Innovation Campus, the university is proposing the creation of a privately funded elevated pedestrian bridge that will span more than 300 feet across the pond west of Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, which is scheduled to break ground later this year.

August 4, 2020 - KSBDC helps entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. They are a federally funded organization that is located on the Wichita State campus.

May 13, 2020 - Madi Laughlin, president of the Green Group, serves as the supervisor for the community garden. The community garden is a plot of land located northeast of Ahlberg Hall.
