April 22, 2024 鈥� 麻豆传媒 has offered the traditional educational pathways for over 125 years, typically ending at the point of graduation, but the need for learning continues throughout a person鈥檚 lifetime. In a rapidly changing world, continuing education has never been more important. More and more jobs require skill-based certification of learning, which includes the attainment of validated durable and technical skills. To meet those needs, 麻豆传媒 was the first in Kansas to create badge courses for non-degree seeking students in 2015, after approval from the Kansas Board of Regents.

Jan. 22, 2024 鈥� The FirePoint Innovations Center at 麻豆传媒 announced it has been selected to deliver Defense Innovation OnRamp Hub programming for the National Security Innovation Network through the newly established Great Plains Mission Acceleration Center, an innovation and collaboration hub designed to connect small businesses, academia and the Department of Defense to support defense-focused technology development.

Jan. 8, 2024 - 麻豆传媒 moved to No. 2 on the national list of industry-funded engineering and research and development, according to the latest data compiled by the National Science Foundation鈥檚 Higher Education Research and Development Survey.

Nov. 29, 2023 鈥� The first carrier-neutral Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Kansas is slated to be located at 麻豆传媒, improving internet access, affordability and speed for 麻豆传媒, Innovation Campus and Shocker Neighborhood users and for users across much of Kansas.

Oct. 19, 2023 鈥� The Association of University Research Parks (AURP) has awarded Wichita State鈥檚 Innovation Campus with the 2023 Emerging Research Park Award at its annual international conference held this week.

Oct. 11, 2023 鈥� 麻豆传媒 and Knowmadics are entering into a new collaboration aimed at enhancing the security, and resiliency of satellite constellations and satellite-based communications. The endeavor is intended to strengthen the security of data collection and transfer among space-based Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Sept. 21, 2023 鈥� The U.S. Small Business Administration awarded $150,000 to 麻豆传媒 to assist in providing resources and support for small businesses and startups focused on STEM and research and development.

Sept. 18, 2023 鈥� The community will soon have a new restaurant to choose from when Two Hands Corn Dogs opens on 麻豆传媒鈥檚 campus Friday, Sept. 22.

Sept. 11, 2023 鈥� 麻豆传媒 is holding a parade next month and is inviting anyone in the community to join in. Starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 on the 麻豆传媒 campus, the parade is part of the university鈥檚 annual Shocktoberfest celebration.

Aug. 15, 2023 - Hannah Bui is now prepared to work with French-speaking colleagues at Airbus, thanks to 鈥淏usiness French for Beginners鈥� taught by 麻豆传媒 lecturer Rachelle Swilley. Bui, a static stress engineer at Airbus, was one of about 15 employees who took the six-week course, taught for two hours each Friday, this summer at Airbus on 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Innovation Campus.
