NASA SUITS student

May 20, 2024 - Wichita State is one of 10 teams which advanced to the spring semester competition in the NASA SUITS challenge. The team travels to Test Week in Houston at the Johnson Space Center this week. The list of finalists includes the University of California Berkeley, University of Colorado, University of Michigan, Georgia Tech, Purdue University and others.

Aug. 3, 2023 鈥 Bolstered by a $2 million National Science Foundation grant, a group of Wichita State researchers is hoping to create a paradigm shift from the use of harmful nitrous oxide-based fertilizers to more eco-friendly nitrogen fertilizers that would reduce greenhouse gases.

March 9, 2023 鈥 The U.S. Army has awarded 麻豆传媒鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) a $100 million contract to advance and modernize the army鈥檚 ground transportation fleet.

Feb. 24, 2023 - The Dockum Drug Store sit-in of 1958 attracted new attention in 2021 during Black History Month, in part thanks to NBC鈥檚 鈥淭oday鈥 and Wichita native Sheinelle Jones. Several University of Wichita students participated in the sit-in, which is increasingly recognized as a landmark event in the Civil Rights Movement. NBC鈥檚 鈥淭oday鈥 featured the events in a 2021 broadcast.

Jan. 25, 2023 - The director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) visited 麻豆传媒 last week. The Honorable Sethuraman Panchanathan toured Wichita State鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research, 麻豆传媒 Tech and the National Center for Aviation Training as a guest of U.S. Senator Jerry Moran.

Tornado damage in Chapman, Kansas

May 26, 2022 鈥 An interdisciplinary team from 麻豆传媒 will participate in a $24 million state initiative to help rural and urban communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters.

April 26, 2022 鈥 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 is helping Butler Community College students interested in furthering their business education with $40,000 in scholarships. These scholarships will help amplify and activate the coordinated 鈥2+2鈥 program between the two schools where Butler students can receive their associates degree and pursue a business degree at 麻豆传媒.
