Sept. 1, 2022 鈥 A 麻豆传媒 research team has received funding from the National Institutes of Health for their proposal, 鈥淓xamining the feasibility of a wearable device for fetal heart rate monitoring through interdisciplinary research.鈥

Aug. 12, 2022 - Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, the state-of-the-art facility that will be home to the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒, is set to open for classes Aug. 22.

July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore Wichita State鈥 is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

June 27, 2022 鈥 The 麻豆传媒 College of Health Professions was awarded a $100,000 grant from the Patterson Family Foundation to support scholarships for health professions students from rural Kansas counties. The scholarship will be awarded to 10 students during the 2022-23 academic year, helping close the gap of unmet financial needs.

June 22, 2022 鈥 Wichita State alum Julian Chee has been flying high since his graduation from Wichita State in 2021. Not only has he landed a job with Airbus on the Innovation Campus, but he's also designed the paper airplane that broke the world record for distance.

May 23, 2022 鈥斅燗lia Michaelis is working in several Wichita-area hospital emergency rooms to record patient-physician interactions. This applied-learning opportunity is helping prepare her for a career in medicine.

May 12 - Rola Khaleel enjoyed the clinical experiences in audiology during her time at 麻豆传媒. She will use those lessons as she continues in her career. May 12, 2022 鈥 More than 2,400 students are eligible to participate in the 124th spring commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 14, at 麻豆传媒. Ceremonies will be held in Charles Koch Arena.

May 6, 2022 鈥 Pamela Clancy Ammar and Alex Ammar were named recipients of the 2022 Fairmount Founders鈥 Award at the annual Fairmount Society dinner held on May 5 at Mark Arts. The 麻豆传媒 Foundation gives the award out annually to recognize those who provide outstanding service and generosity to 麻豆传媒.

April 15, 2022 鈥 Deborah J. (Davis) Bardo, former first lady of 麻豆传媒, died April 15, 2022. Mrs. Bardo was married to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 13th president, Dr. John Bardo, for 44 years until his death on March 12, 2019. She is survived by their son, Christopher.
