Jan. 19, 2024 - Phase One of the Wichita Biomedical Campus being built in the heart of downtown Wichita now has its official look. The joint health sciences project between 麻豆传媒 and the University of Kansas will bring about remarkable opportunities for collaboration, innovation and research.

Jan. 17, 2024 鈥擲ince its establishment in 1965, the 麻豆传媒 Foundation and Alumni Engagement (麻豆传媒FAE) has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing the university鈥檚 priorities. In May 2023, Elizabeth King announced her plans to retire as the 麻豆传媒FAE president and CEO after 33 years of leading these efforts. Telly McGaha will be assuming this top position, joining us from Georgia State University.

Jan. 8, 2024 - 麻豆传媒 moved to No. 2 on the national list of industry-funded engineering and research and development, according to the latest data compiled by the National Science Foundation鈥檚 Higher Education Research and Development Survey.

Morrison Hall

Dec. 18, 2023 - 麻豆传媒 will lead a three-year project to assist NASA鈥檚 manufacturing paradigm shift from 鈥渇actories on earth鈥 to 鈥渇actories in space.鈥

Ana Alicia Casados

Dec. 11, 2023 Ana Alicia Casados encourages her peers to stop and take time for themselves, to not get swept away in their responsibilities, and to always remember why they chose to go to college. She has been able to succeed in college herself by following this advice and will graduate with her bachelor鈥檚 degree in exercise science.

Mariann Kurosu

Dec. 11, 2023 Mariann Kurosu worked as a graduate research assistant for the Center for Real Estate while working towards her master鈥檚 in economics and quantitative analysis, which she will graduate with this December. She encourages her classmates to embrace the opportunity to learn and build their critical thinking skills and network by getting to know their peers.

Maame Adwoa Ankrah

Dec. 11, 2023 Maame Adwoa Ankrah was interested in going to Wichita State for its affordability and for the atmosphere of the city of Wichita. While it was first a challenge to adjust to a new culture, she was able to succeed with the support of her peers and mentors and will graduate with her master鈥檚 degree in Spanish with no regrets.

Tyler Lefebvre

Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys Wichita鈥檚 dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at 麻豆传媒. He has been involved with the Wichita State鈥檚 varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.

Ryan Littlejohn

Dec. 8, 2023 - Ryan Littlejohn worked his way through 麻豆传媒 with help from instructors who guided him through the balancing act of academics and a busy life.

Courtney Lockhart

Dec. 8, 2023 - Courtney Lockhart enjoys escaping to nearby Lake Afton Park to fish and relax. He works for the Student Outreach and Support/CARE Team in Student Affairs at 麻豆传媒.

Mariana Vazquez Serna

Dec. 08, 2023 Mariana Vazquez Serna got involved at Wichita State鈥檚 and made connections with her peers and professors by joining clubs and attending events on campus, something she advises other students to do as well during their time at 麻豆传媒. She will work as an associate for an accounting firm after graduating with her BBA in accounting.

Brittany Wojciechowski

Dec. 05, 2023 Brittany Wojciechowski is currently working for Jacobs Space Exploration Group doing contract work for the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She was also a featured guest in the聽May 2023 episode of President Rick Muma鈥檚 鈥淔orward Together鈥 podcast. While at 麻豆传媒, Brittany conducted numerous research projects, including聽as part of the AeroFeathers team. She will receive her Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering this fall as a first-gen student.

Nov. 29, 2023 鈥 The first carrier-neutral Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Kansas is slated to be located at 麻豆传媒, improving internet access, affordability and speed for 麻豆传媒, Innovation Campus and Shocker Neighborhood users and for users across much of Kansas.

Shirley Lefever

Nov. 20, 2023 麻豆传媒 is home to nearly 5,000 first-generation students, individuals whose caregivers weren't able to complete a college degree and who lack the firsthand experience to tackle college life. To help with their transition, Wichita State offers a number of resources to first-gen students to support them during their time in college, including F1RST GEN SHOCKERS.

Nov. 13, 2023 - Anna Heacock works as an emergency room nurse and runs for the 麻豆传媒 track and field team. Wichita State is home to nearly 5,000 first-generation students, individuals whose caregivers weren't able to complete a college degree and who lack the firsthand experience to tackle college life.
