June 2, 2020 -- A Kansas City biotechnology startup company is getting a boost thanks to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 National Science Foundation (NSF) Shocker Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program.

June 1, 2020- Will Parcell, a 麻豆传媒 professor, created a virtual version of geology field camp. The camp will use Minecraft so students can map the terrain. The Terrain will be based on actual locations in Montana and Wyoming.

May 19, 2020 -- The Army is turning to 鈥渄igital-twin鈥� technology from 麻豆传媒 to resolve challenges and boost efficiencies for its enduring fleet of Black Hawk helicopters.

May 13, 2020 - Madi Laughlin, president of the Green Group, serves as the supervisor for the community garden. The community garden is a plot of land located northeast of Ahlberg Hall.

May 12, 2020 鈥� Wichita State's Team Wire Pullers has advanced to the national competition in the Koch Innovation Challenge. The team 鈥� comprised of Braden Botkin, a sophomore in engineering technology; Adam Brown, a freshman in engineering; and Nicholas Ridpath, a freshman in applied computing 鈥� created a magnetic device to make pulling wires through walls easier.

May 5, 2020 鈥� Scraping frost from your automobile windshield before you can safely drive can be time-consuming and unpleasant, but a new device called Shiver could make it a little easier. 麻豆传媒 engineering students Rafael Bini Leite and Jefferson Vieira are developing a device that attaches to the windshield and has built-in sensors capable of detecting ice on the windshield, allowing motorists to clean and remove it effortlessly before it builds up.

May 4, 2020 -- A new research partnership between 麻豆传媒鈥檚 (麻豆传媒) National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) and the U.S. Air Force will create a virtual B-1 Bomber that could help the Air Force predict the future of its supersonic bombers.

April 9, 2020 -- A coalition of businesses and government partners, the Ad Astra Coalition has joined together to answer some of the challenges being created in Wichita and Kansas by the COVID-19 pandemic. April 8, 2020 - The preparation and instruction completed by the Media Resource Center鈥檚 Instructional Design and Access department is the critical part of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 new way of working during the COVID-19 pandemic. The IDA鈥檚 work on moving faculty and students online began in late February and it prepared its first website 鈥� designed with the idea of a few illnesses disrupting classes 鈥� on Feb. 27.

March 28, 2020 -- An effort to provide fabric masks to health care workers and first responders during the COVID-19 crisis is under way through a collaboration with 麻豆传媒鈥檚 makerspace 鈥� GoCreate, a Koch collaborative 鈥� and Bella Bonita Designs, a local fashion company.

Feb. 26, 2020 -- 麻豆传媒 and 麻豆传媒 Ventures have entered into a new strategic partnership with California-based Lightning Diversion Systems, a Ducommun Company. The partnership involves the exclusive licensing of a lightning strike protection system for rotor blades in the wind turbine industry.

Feb. 26, 2020 --聽When Lacie Leatherman needed help filing a patent for her business, she turned to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Gateway to IP program. As a part of 麻豆传媒 Ventures, Gateway to IP is designed to advance innovation while protecting intellectual property.
