March 28, 2023 鈥 麻豆传媒鈥檚 chapter for Society of Professional Engineers will be hosting Noche de Ciencias for Wichita Public School students and their families from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at Wichita North High School.

March 24, 2023 - Paul Mills walked on the court at Charles Koch Arena as head coach of the Shockers for the first time on Thursday. He is well acquainted with the building, however, and how Wichita State fans can fill seats and affect games.

March 22, 2023 鈥 麻豆传媒 nursing students on the 麻豆传媒 main campus and Kansas State University campus celebrated their Nightingale Nursing Commitment Ceremonies on March 3. Students recited and signed the modern Nightingale Pledge as a commitment to uphold the standards of the nursing profession.

Mother Daughter Day

March 21, 2023 鈥 The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a student organization at 麻豆传媒, is hosting a Mother Daughter Day event for local middle school girls and their adult female role models. The event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25 in the lobby of the John Bardo Center at Wichita State.

SAINT MOTEL

March 20, 2023 - Los Angeles-based indie pop band SAINT MOTEL will perform in concert at 麻豆传媒 at 8 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Charles Koch Arena. SAINT MOTEL鈥檚 inventive live performances have earned the band a loyal fanbase that flock to its headlining shows and standout sets at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.

March 9, 2023 - 麻豆传媒 will show off its unique cultural and educational assets while welcoming the community to campus during Open Streets ICT - 麻豆传媒 and Shocker Neighborhood on April 16.

March 8, 2023 鈥 Cody Keenan, former White House speechwriter for President Barack Obama, will be the speaker for the 2023 Craig W. Barton Speaker Series event at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 30 in Wiedemann Hall.

Feb. 22, 2023 鈥 Braeburn Square on 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Innovation Campus is transforming the dining and shopping scene in Wichita. With four new tenants 鈥 Sesame Mediterranean Kitchen, Jersey Mike鈥檚, Two Hands Corn Dogs and Pedego Wichita 鈥 the shopping center is fully occupied and fast becoming a hub for all Wichitans to gather, feast and shop.

Feb. 7, 2023 - A consortium of four local institutions (Wichita State, 麻豆传媒 Tech, Newman University and Friends University) is bringing Dr. Gina Ann Garcia to Wichita for the talk 鈥淏ecoming Hispanic-Serving Institutions,鈥 at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 9, in Newman's DeMattias Performance Hall.

Feb. 6, 2023 鈥 The 麻豆传媒 College of Engineering is hosting an Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) event, commonly known as Girl Day, for high school girls from Wichita Public Schools. The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom on the third floor of the Rhatigan Student Center.

Jan. 23, 2023 鈥 A recent "PBS News Hour鈥 story highlights the role 麻豆传媒 plays in the arts community of Wichita. 鈥淲ichita State has a hand in almost every arts entity in the Wichita metropolitan area, from the symphony to the art museum,鈥 said Dr. Rodney Miller, dean of the College of Fine Arts.

Dec. 1, 2022 - Zhi Wei Won used her time at Wichita State to work on skills in and out of the classroom. She met new people and expanded her social circle through school activities. Nov. 30, 2022 鈥 Delane Vaughn loved science and her biology teacher at Mulvane High School 鈥 Joe Johnson 鈥 started her on a path to 麻豆传媒 as the first person in her family to attend college. She worked, raised a family and attended 麻豆传媒 and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
