Aug. 1, 2023 鈥 The Wichita City Council approved a plan today that will move forward a project between 麻豆传媒 and the University of Kansas to build a 471,000-square-foot health sciences center in the heart of downtown Wichita.

May 11, 2023 - Lucy Schneider, a sport management major, jumped into applied learning opportunities with Wichita State鈥檚 athletic department and will use those experiences as she pursues her master鈥檚 degree.

May 4, 2023 - Orel Ovil came to 麻豆传媒 from Israel to play tennis and study in the W. Frank Barton School of Business in 2018. He is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to 麻豆传媒 students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to 麻豆传媒 and the surrounding community.

May 1, 2023 鈥 Jes煤s Nogu茅s came to 麻豆传媒 from Paraguay because of the university's reputation for industry partnerships and applied learning. He was not disappointed.

Zoe Jones

April 26, 2023 鈥 Zoe Jones transferred to 麻豆传媒 from Texas Tech University and is enjoying her softball experience with the nationally ranked Shockers. In 2022, she earned all-region and all-conference honors at second base and a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic team. This season, she is one of the leading hitters on a team headed to NCAA regional play.

April 20, 2023 - Wichita State鈥檚 Media Resources Center will live-stream the Plains Regional Regatta for the third year, using MRC staff and students for all aspects of the production. It takes place Sunday on the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita.

March 24, 2023 - Paul Mills walked on the court at Charles Koch Arena as head coach of the Shockers for the first time on Thursday. He is well acquainted with the building, however, and how Wichita State fans can fill seats and affect games.

March 17, 2023 鈥 Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director Steven Dettelbach and Senator Jerry Moran recently visited 麻豆传媒 to announce plans for a unique new National Forensic Laboratory at Wichita State. The forensic laboratory is a new $75 million facility that will complement the Gun Crime Intelligence Center of Excellence and National Integrated Ballistic Information Network Correlation and Training Center, which were announced last summer.
