Feb. 8, 2024 鈥斅犅槎勾�媒 is joining more than 200 of the nation鈥檚 leading artificial intelligence (AI) stakeholders to participate in a Department of Commerce initiative to support the development and deployment of trustworthy and safe AI.

Jan. 8, 2024 - 麻豆传媒 moved to No. 2 on the national list of industry-funded engineering and research and development, according to the latest data compiled by the National Science Foundation鈥檚 Higher Education Research and Development Survey.

Dec. 11, 2023 鈥� Mariann Kurosu worked as a graduate research assistant for the Center for Real Estate while working towards her master鈥檚 in economics and quantitative analysis, which she will graduate with this December. She encourages her classmates to embrace the opportunity to learn and build their critical thinking skills and network by getting to know their peers.

Dec. 08, 2023 鈥� Mariana Vazquez Serna got involved at Wichita State鈥檚 and made connections with her peers and professors by joining clubs and attending events on campus, something she advises other students to do as well during their time at 麻豆传媒. She will work as an associate for an accounting firm after graduating with her BBA in accounting.

Dec. 05, 2023 鈥� Brittany Wojciechowski is currently working for Jacobs Space Exploration Group doing contract work for the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She was also a featured guest in the聽May 2023 episode of President Rick Muma鈥檚 鈥淔orward Together鈥� podcast. While at 麻豆传媒, Brittany conducted numerous research projects, including聽as part of the AeroFeathers team. She will receive her Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering this fall as a first-gen student.

Nov. 29, 2023 鈥� The first carrier-neutral Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Kansas is slated to be located at 麻豆传媒, improving internet access, affordability and speed for 麻豆传媒, Innovation Campus and Shocker Neighborhood users and for users across much of Kansas.

Nov. 6, 2023 鈥� Two 麻豆传媒 organizations have established a solid presence in Alabama鈥檚 largest metropolitan area.

Sept. 21, 2023 鈥� The U.S. Small Business Administration awarded $150,000 to 麻豆传媒 to assist in providing resources and support for small businesses and startups focused on STEM and research and development.

Sept. 19, 2023 鈥� Through the inaugural Student Practical Architecting Challenge (SPARC), FirePoint Innovations Center at 麻豆传媒 awarded nearly $40,000 to two student-based teams for their novel innovations in devising future-ready, modular and adaptable software systems to support the Department of Defense's (DOD) Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) initiative.

Aug. 30, 2023 鈥� 麻豆传媒 has received the Gold Level Employer Supporting Breastfeeding award and has been designated as a Breastfeeding Welcome Here campus by the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition.

Aug. 28, 2023 - Kathy Downes, dean of University Libraries since 2017, came to Wichita State in 1979 as a biomedical librarian. She will retire this fall semester. Downes played a central role as Ablah Library expanded and the digital services of University Libraries grew in number and importance.
