July 10, 2023 鈥� A new Jersey Mike鈥檚 Subs is set to open Wednesday, July 12 in 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Braeburn Square on the Innovation Campus.

March 17, 2023 鈥� Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director Steven Dettelbach and Senator Jerry Moran recently visited 麻豆传媒 to announce plans for a unique new National Forensic Laboratory at Wichita State. The forensic laboratory is a new $75 million facility that will complement the Gun Crime Intelligence Center of Excellence and National Integrated Ballistic Information Network Correlation and Training Center, which were announced last summer.

March 13, 2023 鈥� The Innovation Campus, which is a physical extension of the 麻豆传媒 main campus, is one of the nation鈥檚 largest and fastest-growing research and innovation parks, encompassing over 120 acres and is home to a number of global companies and organizations.

Feb. 24, 2023 - The Dockum Drug Store sit-in of 1958 attracted new attention in 2021 during Black History Month, in part thanks to NBC鈥檚 鈥淭oday鈥� and Wichita native Sheinelle Jones. Several University of Wichita students participated in the sit-in, which is increasingly recognized as a landmark event in the Civil Rights Movement. NBC鈥檚 鈥淭oday鈥� featured the events in a 2021 broadcast.

Feb. 22, 2023 鈥� Braeburn Square on 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Innovation Campus is transforming the dining and shopping scene in Wichita. With four new tenants 鈥� Sesame Mediterranean Kitchen, Jersey Mike鈥檚, Two Hands Corn Dogs and Pedego Wichita 鈥� the shopping center is fully occupied and fast becoming a hub for all Wichitans to gather, feast and shop.

Nov. 7, 2022 鈥� In recognition of its strong commitment to economic engagement, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) has designated 麻豆传媒 as an Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University.

Oct. 20, 2022 鈥� The FirePoint Innovations Center at 麻豆传媒 wrapped up the second year of its Future Innovators Program, an engineering internship opportunity that provides some of America鈥檚 brightest engineers from historically under-represented communities the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and programs that directly support the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center and the Department of Defense.

Oct. 8, 2022 - Conner Williamson is immersed in Industry 4.0 as an operations/system analyst at The Smart Factory @ Wichita, one of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 newest partners on the Innovation Campus.

Sept. 22, 2022 鈥� Brian Umbenhauer and Geoff Tuff, principals at Deloitte, are joining forces to become the joint Executives-in-Residence at the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 for the fall 2022 semester.

July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore Wichita State鈥� is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

July 22, 2022 鈥� Kyle Walter is interning as a student team lead at the Deloitte Smart Factory @ Wichita, located on Wichita State's Innovation Campus. Kyle says the internship has provided him valuable skills in smart manufacturing technology development.

June 29, 2022 鈥� The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced today the establishment of its Crime Gun Intelligence Center of Excellence, located on 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Innovation Campus.

June 22, 2022 鈥� Wichita State alum Julian Chee has been flying high since his graduation from Wichita State in 2021. Not only has he landed a job with Airbus on the Innovation Campus, but he's also designed the paper airplane that broke the world record for distance.

May 26, 2022 鈥� An interdisciplinary team from 麻豆传媒 will participate in a $24 million state initiative to help rural and urban communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters.

May 6, 2022 鈥� The steel columns and beams rising on the east edge of the Innovation Campus will soon provide a physical centerpiece for the ongoing work of digital transformation at 麻豆传媒. The National Institute for Research and Digital Transformation will occupy the building at 18th Street and Oliver by spring 2023.
