May 01, 2024 Sophie Martins chose 麻豆传媒 for the opportunities she saw at the university, which turned out for her as she was elected as the student body vice president at Wichita State during the 2023-24 academic year, joined to Legal Education Accelerated Degree that will propel her into law school and is now graduating with her bachelor鈥檚 degree.

May 1, 2024 鈥 Andres Saenz Jr. fell in love with 麻豆传媒 when he attended basketball games with a neighbor. Since he鈥檚 been a student here, he鈥檚 found a sense of belonging through an empowering campus community. 聽

Iris Okere

May 1, 2024 Iris Okere joined 麻豆传媒 for its affordability and distance to her home in Texas. Here, she found 麻豆传媒 to be a place full of opportunities for her, including a chance grow her own confidence and independence through the challenges she faced, and in her final year, she was elected to the position of student body president in the Student Government Association.

Jade Driggs

April 12, 2024 鈥 With two young children at home, U.S. Air Force Major Jade Driggs needed to learn to ask and accept help from others while she was working toward her Ph.D. in human factors psychology. She chose 麻豆传媒 for its impressive human factors psychology program and the university鈥檚 commitment to diversity and inclusion.

April 12, 2024 鈥 As a full-time employee of 麻豆传媒, Gabriel Fonseca struggled to balance work, classes and a personal life while he pursued his doctoral degree; but, ultimately, the support of the university community helped him persevere.

Morgan Campbell

April 29, 2024 鈥 The military brought Morgan Campbell and her family to Wichita, and she decided to make it her home. She has earned a master鈥檚 degree in social work, and she plans 鈥渢o promote safety, growth, and opportunities鈥 for families in her practice.聽

April 30, 2024 Sierra Marie Bonn struggled to balance her work and education, but with the help of scholarships from the Miss Kansas Organization, she was able to earn an undergraduate and graduate degree from 麻豆传媒. She graduates with her Master of Innovation Design and following graduation, she will compete in the 2024 Miss Kansas Competition and continue working on the non-profit organization she founded while she was a student, Let鈥檚 Go Full STEAM Ahead.

Christen Brouillette

April 30, 2024 Christen Brouillette came to 麻豆传媒 from Texas, which they found hard to transition to, but with the help of peers, faculty and the resources available at 麻豆传媒, they were able to find success. They hope to work as a historian or archivist following graduation. Christen is one of more than 2,400 students eligible for spring 2024 graduation. CAS Advisory Board

Feb. 29, 2024 鈥 The College of Applied Studies at 麻豆传媒 has appointed four distinguished professionals to its Dean's Advisory Board. They are Alicia Sanchez, Amy Williams, Ed O'Malley and Kyle Ellison.

Ashlynn Farney

Dec. 12, 2023 Ashlynn Farney took time off college during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which she returned to Wichita, changed her major to filmmaking and started attending Wichita State. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Applied Arts with a concentration in filmmaking in December.

Avery Pierce

Dec. 12, 2023 - Avery Pierce loves Wichita鈥檚 coffee scene and the applied learning in the sport management program at 麻豆传媒.

Ana Alicia Casados

Dec. 11, 2023 Ana Alicia Casados encourages her peers to stop and take time for themselves, to not get swept away in their responsibilities, and to always remember why they chose to go to college. She has been able to succeed in college herself by following this advice and will graduate with her bachelor鈥檚 degree in exercise science.

Mariann Kurosu

Dec. 11, 2023 Mariann Kurosu worked as a graduate research assistant for the Center for Real Estate while working towards her master鈥檚 in economics and quantitative analysis, which she will graduate with this December. She encourages her classmates to embrace the opportunity to learn and build their critical thinking skills and network by getting to know their peers.

Maame Adwoa Ankrah

Dec. 11, 2023 Maame Adwoa Ankrah was interested in going to Wichita State for its affordability and for the atmosphere of the city of Wichita. While it was first a challenge to adjust to a new culture, she was able to succeed with the support of her peers and mentors and will graduate with her master鈥檚 degree in Spanish with no regrets.
