March 22, 2020 -- 麻豆传媒 President Jay Golden has put out a request to any 麻豆传媒 employee or department to donate any personal protective equipment to frontline health care providers.

Feb. 27, 2020 - 麻豆传媒 political science professor Dinorah Azpuru is doing her part to help people鈥檚 understanding of political science with her work in the Washington Post 鈥淭he Monkey Cage,鈥� a blog dedicated to 鈥渕aking sense of the circus that is politics,鈥� as the blog describes itself. She has submitted three articles to the blog, most recently one that examines declining trust in and support for democracy in Latin America

Feb. 26, 2020 -- 麻豆传媒 and 麻豆传媒 Ventures have entered into a new strategic partnership with California-based Lightning Diversion Systems, a Ducommun Company. The partnership involves the exclusive licensing of a lightning strike protection system for rotor blades in the wind turbine industry.

Feb. 20, 2020 -- Brian Amos, assistant professor of political science at Wichita state, has dedicated numerous papers and conferences to gerrymandering research.

Feb. 12, 2020 -- 麻豆传媒 Police Department has over 30 commissioned officer and 18 support staff members. 麻豆传媒PD offers many resources聽 across campus which help protect and keep students, faculty and staff safe.

Jan. 16, 2020 -- The 麻豆传媒 Police Department has been named as one of the Top 25 programs in the country for its focus on safety.

Nov. 20, 2019 -- Martin Ratcliffe, adjunct professor in the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College, teaches students that space and the people who study it aren鈥檛 all that far away.

Nov. 8, 2019 -- College of Engineering Dean Dennis Livesay has constructed an elaborate, storied LEGO city in his basement over the last six years. Most of it is his own creation and has ties to his personal history.

Nov. 1, 2019 - President-elect Jay Golden鈥檚 introduction speech indicates he learned much about Wichita State鈥檚 history and its mission. He spoke of reducing cost for students, of applied learning, the importance of the humanities and critical thinking and ties with business.

Oct. 30, 2019 -- The Wichita State Police Department has always focused on making 麻豆传媒 a safe, inviting place. And Police Chief Rodney Clark, who joined the 麻豆传媒 team in July 2018, has implemented several new initiatives in his first year to improve on the department鈥檚 mission.

Oct. 31, 2019 -- Jay Golden has been named the 14th President of 麻豆传媒. The announcement was made Thursday, Oct. 31, by the Kansas Board of Regents.

Oct. 29, 2019 -- The Kansas Board of Regents has announced a meeting of the board at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Rhatigan Student Center, Room 233 (Santa Fe Trail Room). The board plans to hold a public vote to name the next President of 麻豆传媒, with a reception following.

Oct. 23, 2019 -- The American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) recently presented Wichita State鈥檚 Susan Norton with the 2019 AAACE Presidential Award for Exceptional and Innovative Leadership in Adult Continuing Education, an award given to someone who demonstrates exceptional and innovative leadership in the field of adult continuing education.

Oct. 18, 2019 - Achita Muthitacharoen, professor of management information systems, recently won the 2019 Faculty Risk Taker award for her willingness to try new, innovative ideas. She holds a competition in her dynamic programming course that allows students to experience a real-world assignment.
