Students working on handrails for Koch Arena

Sept. 5, 2023 - 麻豆传媒 students designed handrails for Charles Koch Arena and producing around 400 for installation. The applied learning project will make walking up the arena stairs safer for fans and is a response to surveys and listening sessions.

May 3, 2023 鈥 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Gateway to IP applied learning program gives students the opportunity to learn about a career as a patent agent. Rob Gerlach from the Office of Tech Transfer created the program 鈥渨ith the purpose being to increase Wichita鈥檚 IP IQ.鈥

2022 Wallace Scholars

March 25, 2022 鈥斅犅槎勾解檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program. Ten Wallace Scholarship recipients will receive $28,500 each to attend Wichita State for four years. In addition, two students receiving other major university scholarships will be designated as Wallace Scholars.

Dec. 8, 2021鈥 Joyce Chiam, an international student from Malaysia, is earning her degree in industrial engineering with a minor in mathematics from Wichita State. Through the encouragement of her peers, she has learned how to thrive in an academic environment far away from home. Chiam is one of more than 1,100 students eligible for fall 2021 graduation.

March 2, 2021 鈥 Five Wichita State students鈥 projects are being highlighted as a part of the Kansas Undergraduate Research Day at the Kansas State Capitol March 2-4.

Abdelhakim Al Turk

Nov. 16, 2020 鈥 Abdelhakim Al Turk came to 麻豆传媒 to study engineering from Lebanon. Throughout his time in Wichita, he has appreciated the mentorship and hands-on experience he鈥檚 gotten from the College of Engineering and through his work at the Rapid Prototyping and 3D Printing Lab.

Rachit Rajput, from Shimla, India, came to Wichita State in 2015 on faith in the engineering program. He leaves with a master鈥檚 degree in industrial engineering. Rachit is one of more than聽1,200 students eligible for聽fall 2020 graduation. Learn more about聽her time at Wichita State and what is next for the grad.
