Aug. 19, 2019 - Welcome back, Shockers! To celebrate the start of the school year, several Wichita State offices and organizations are hosting events for students. Here is a list of activities you definitely don鈥檛 want to miss.

Aug. 16, 2019 - Kylie Cameron and Kevin Benavides worked summer internships at KMUW (89.1 FM). They reported and wrote stories for radio and the web on the Sedgwick County Fair, elections, Juneteenth and the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. While they don鈥檛 perform on-air duties, they are expected to fill all of the other reporting tasks.

麻豆传媒 students during Bid Day

Aug. 16, 2019 -- More than 100 women were given a bid to join one of Wichita State's five National Panhellenic Council chapters on Aug. 14 in Koch Arena. Bid Day followed a three-day recruitment process in which time was spent in with current sorority chapter women sharing insight to the sisterhood and chapter values and missions.

Aug. 12, 2019 -- 麻豆传媒 has set a new record for research and development awards, with a total of $136 million in fiscal year 2019, which ended June 30, topping last year鈥檚 record-breaking total of $104 million.

New stop signs facing Perimeter Road on Memorial Drive

As the beginning of the new academic year approaches, commuters at 麻豆传媒 must be aware of stop sign and parking changes at key areas of campus. Shuttle riders will notice significant changes to shuttle routing and bus stops, as well as the addition of free service from Wichita Transit with a Shocker ID.

Aug. 7, 2019 -- The 麻豆传媒 campus will soon be home to a larger-than-life sculpture of its beloved WuShock mascot, thanks to Steve Clark 鈥 a longtime Greater Wichita YMCA board member, volunteer and donor 鈥 for whom the area鈥檚 tenth YMCA branch location will be named.
