Jan. 27, 2023 鈥 麻豆传媒 has selected the 2023 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. Each student will receive a $64,000 scholarship to attend 麻豆传媒 in August 2023.

Daniel Baird

Nov. 30, 2022 鈥 After earning his bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in sociology, Daniel Baird plans to attend graduate school, where he will integrate clinical work with the handpan 鈥 a sort of convex steel drum that emits calming, hypnotic sounds 鈥 which he believes is a powerful therapeutic instrument.聽

A neutrino detector carried by a nanosatellite in low Earth orbit

Nov. 15, 2022 鈥 Wichita State's Jonathan Folkerts, Jarred Novak and Trent English presented papers on the design of their neutrino detector prototype at the International Astronautical Congress in Paris, representing the NASA-funded Solar Neutrino Orbiting Laboratory Detector Development Project.

Savannah Paschal, Catalina Garc铆a, and Marili Bravo

Oct. 14, 2022 - Savannah Paschal, a senior Spanish education major at Wichita State, wrote a proposal that helped Alce su voz earn a $75,000 Building Power and Equity Partnership grant from the Kansas Health Foundation. The grant will support civic engagement and the group鈥檚 work toward health equity for Spanish speakers and speakers of indigenous languages in Kansas.
