Additional Information

Lauren has performed, presented, and conducted dance research around the world, engaging with diverse communities to explore the connections between movement, culture, and artistic expression. As a Field Researcher and Curriculum Consultant for the Brigham Young University ARTS Partnership, she collaborated closely with Utah鈥檚 eight Native American sovereign nations to develop culturally responsive lesson plans that honor and preserve Indigenous artistic traditions.

 

Her research background includes studying cross-cultural empathy through dance with BYU Dance, where she participated in choreographic exchanges in India and contributed to scholarly analyses on the role of movement in fostering understanding. Lauren鈥檚 teaching experience spans K-12 education and higher education settings, with a strong foundation in dance pedagogy, somatics, and arts integration.

 

Lauren was raised in Kansas and has a deeply rooted love for promoting the arts in Kansas. She currently resides in Michigan with her husband, two children, and two cats.
