Through analysis of GD&T we can reduce the cost and time it takes to manufacture. Simultaneously, we can ensure that manufactured parts meet the specified tolerance and functional requirements outlined on engineering drawings. Overall, GD&T calculations guarantee that engineering designs are translated accurately throughout the manufacturing processes and that manufactured parts meet the required quality standards and functional specifications. 

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the ASME Y14.5-2018 standard and the calculation methods it illustrates.

Attendees should attend either “GD&T Concepts and Application” or “GPS Concepts and Application”. Bringing examples of real-world drawings is encouraged so the class can review and learn from them. 

NIAR will issue a certificate for successfully completing this course.
