Shocker Bowling Camp Frequently Asked Questions

How/when do I register?

Shocker Bowling Camp registration opens up in January each year. Parents can register their campers from the Shocker Bowling Camp website: .

How do I add any extras?

Parents and guests can log in to their Once in the portal, on the left side click 鈥渆nrollment鈥 and under the camper鈥檚 name, click 鈥減urchase additional options for 2023.鈥 All options will be added to the current year鈥檚 statement.

How many bowling balls should my camper bring to camp?

Campers should bring up to three bowling balls with them. This is not a tournament or a tryout, it鈥檚 a time for us all to learn! And we simply don鈥檛 have the space for each camper to bring five or six balls with them! Campers should bring a ball that hooks, a ball that hooks a little less and the ball they shoot spares with.

What average should my camper have?

Averages are definitely relative to where campers bowl. We have campers that average anywhere from 120 to 230. We have had campers come with lower averages and learn a bunch and campers that average higher and learn a lot. Our camp is designed for everyone to get some nuggets of knowledge!

What can parents and guests do during the camp?

Parents and guests are allowed to be in and around as much as they would like! We will have chairs set up in the back of the classroom for guests to sit in. Guests are always welcome to sit on the high top chairs in the concourse area and watch the on-lane training. Parents and guests are not included in the campers' lunch, but they are able to be in the center during their child's downtime. If parents and guests don鈥檛 want to stay during the camp, we have a handful of different guides from the City of Wichita for you to explore! We will give you a scheduled time to be back and pick up your camper.
