Starting college means learning many new things, including the acronyms you'll hear around campus. Here鈥檚 a guide to some of the most common acronyms used at Wichita State University to help you get familiar with Shocker lingo.

Buildings

RSC 鈥� Rhatigan Student Center

The social hub of student life at Wichita State, providing a place to study, hang out with friends, grab a bite to eat, shop, and more.

JBC 鈥� John Bardo Center

Located on the Innovation Campus, this building houses over 20 engineering lab spaces and GoCreate.

Academic Colleges

CAS 鈥� College of Applied Studies

This college includes majors such as education, counseling, athletic training, and sport management.

CHP 鈥� College of Health Professions

Home to programs like dental hygiene, nursing, communication sciences and disorders, and physician associate.
