Alumni Interview with Hassan Farhoud

Hassan Farhoud in the Wind Tunnel

Describe how the skills you gained from the Masters of Innovation Design (MID) program have contributed to your success.
The MID program helped me acquire skills to effectively work and lead multidisciplinary teams on a daily basis. As a senior resident physician in training, I am expected to lead interns and medical students daily as we take care of sick patients in a complicated environment that involves other healthcare providers, social workers, insurance companies, and administrators. An effective team saves lives.

What was the most valuable lesson or experience you took away from the program?
The education and skills I learned through my MID degree can be applied in all aspects of life regardless of industry or field.

What tips would you offer to current or prospective students of the MID program to help them fully leverage their education and achieve success after graduation?
Fully immerse yourself into the program. Even if a course may not seem applicable to your future, you will gain insight and learn about other industries and help you become an effective leader.
