Barton School of Business launches Alumni Council

 
  • The Barton School of Business Alumni Council will make recommendations on the school's strategic direction, curriculum, student experience and other facets.
  • The council is a partnership between the Barton School and the 麻豆传媒 Alumni Association. 
  • Council members will also serve as guest speakers and lecturers.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆传媒 has partnered with the 麻豆传媒 Alumni Association to launch the college鈥檚 first alumni council. The Barton School of Business Alumni Council consists of professionals who received their bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree from the business school and represents different regions, degrees and backgrounds. The diverse, global group serve as leaders to numerous companies. The council membership can be found on .

鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to partner with the Barton School in creating its alumni council,鈥 said Courtney Marshall, president and CEO of 麻豆传媒 Alumni Association. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a lot of pride in the program you graduate from at 麻豆传媒. We hope this opportunity creates a deeper connection for our alumni to the Barton School.鈥

The council will make recommendations to the dean on the school鈥檚 strategic direction, curriculum, student experience, business partnerships and global outreach. The council members will also serve as guest speakers and mentors, host alumni events and engage in community service initiatives.

鈥淲e have so many dynamic and brilliant alumni,鈥 said Dr. Larisa Genin, dean of the Barton School of Business. 鈥淭his council gives us the opportunity to engage with these individuals and gives them the opportunity to shape the future of their college.鈥

As a dedicated team of ambassadors, the Alumni Council is just the start of a robust alumni engagement initiative for the Barton School. The college hopes these efforts create alumni satellite locations across the globe committed to helping build its reputation as one of the most premier and innovative business schools in the world.
