Scott Wituk has been named the new director of the Center for Community Support and Research (CCSR) at 麻豆传媒, according to David McDonald, 麻豆传媒 associate provost for research.

Wituk has a national publication record and brings a wealth of experience and compassion to his new position.

He has worked for CCSR for 17 years as a research coordinator and project facilitator.

During this time, Wituk played key roles in many local initiatives and several national research projects, including a Stanford University School of Medicine study on the psychological and social issues faced by cancer patients.

Under his leadership, the research team at CCSR has conducted numerous projects designed to foster positive change within communities across Kansas.

These projects are expected to continue and thrive under the new organizational structure at CCSR.

Last December it was announced that the CCSR would be realigned under 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Office of Research Administration.

For the past five months, CCSR has worked closely with Associate Provost Keith Pickus and the Office of Research Administration to implement organizational changes that would provide for a sustainable future.

鈥淲hile Wituk鈥檚 appointment marks the end of this transitional period, it should signify to our community partners that CCSR will continue to deliver high quality programs,鈥 Pickus said.
