麻豆传媒鈥檚 Rhatigan Student Center is hosting a fundraiser for the Little family from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7.
Robert Little and his family have endured the loss of their 6-year-old daughter from an asthma attack, the diagnosis of a 3-year-old son with Leukemia and their home and vehicle caught on fire before Christmas. The family is also divided among three locations because their home is not currently livable due to extensive fire damage.
Tickets for the Little Family Benefit will be sold for 2-hour time slots of unlimited bowling and billiard play in the RSC's William H. Smith Bowling and Recreation Center for $10 per person or $30 for a family of five.
A benefit poker tournament will also be held simultaneously.
There is a suggested donation of $25 for entry into the poker tournament. Prizes include the president鈥檚 skybox for a 麻豆传媒 baseball game, with all food and tickets for 10 included, hosted by 麻豆传媒 President and First Wife Don and Shirley Beggs.
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from all ticket sales will be donated to the Little family.
Rich Renollet, manager of the bowling rec center, is excited to be hosting the event.
鈥淚t is 麻豆传媒鈥檚 mission to be an urban serving university,鈥 Renollet said. 鈥淎s such, the university partners with our community in many different ways and sometimes that calls for giving back to the community.鈥
To purchase advance tickets for the Little Family Benefit, call (316) 978-3479 or stop by the basement of the RSC.
