Author and 麻豆传媒 alumnus Verne Harnish to give Oliver Elliott Lecture at Wichita State

Verne Harnish, founder of the world-renowned Entrepreneur's Organization and CEO of Gazelles, a global executive education and coaching company, will present a talk titled "Scaling Up: How Few Companies Make It and Why the Rest Don't" at 7 p.m. Nov. 16 at the 麻豆传媒 Hughes Metropolitan Complex, 5015 E. 29th St. N.

The talk is presented by the Rotary Club of Wichita as part of its Oliver Elliott Lecture series that focuses on business and entrepreneurial activities.

"We are pleased to bring Verne Harnish to Wichita and contribute to the conversion about growing the city鈥檚 entrepreneurial activity," said Jeff Van Sickle, Rotary Club president.

There is no charge for admission. Copies of Harnish's most recent book will be given to the first 250 people in attendance.

"Given the city鈥檚 efforts to promote entrepreneurial activity and the work of e2e, the Chamber, the Wichita Community Foundation and others, Verne's expertise and connection to Wichita make him an ideal person to give this year鈥檚 lecture," said Keith Pickus, Rotary Club member and 麻豆传媒 Foundation vice president.
