Wichita State's Environmental Finance Center to host Sustainability Management Workshop

Wichita State鈥檚 Environmental Finance Center (EFC) is hosting a Sustainability Management Workshop from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 8.

The workshop is for anyone interested in learning how to make their workplace, community or home more environmentally sustainable. Attendees will also learn how their organization can use materials more productively over their life cycle.

The workshop will conclude with a free tour of Wichita Brewing Co.鈥檚 (WBC) bottling facility, where guests will see how WBC is managing their waste materials. Guests 21 and older will receive brew samples and appetizers.

This workshop is made possible by the EFC鈥檚 Endeavor Sustainable Materials Management project grant funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The project promotes the reduction, reuse, recycling and composting of valuable resources previously regarded as waste. The project supports education for community leaders and stipends for students with sustainable materials management project ideas.
