Wichita State to offer Lifelong Learning Program for senior citizens

麻豆传媒 is offering its Lifelong Learning Program for senior citizens beginning in September. Classes will be held at retirement communities and senior centers around the city of Wichita and in Bel Aire.

Residents and members of the community 60 years of age or older can audit these classes without paying tuition if they enroll before Sept. 16, though workshop and other fees may apply.

鈥淎rea seniors really enjoy not only the opportunity to explore new interests, engage in stimulating discussions and share their personal recollections of historical and social events, but the social interaction as well,鈥 said Kimberly Moore, program director.

Although geared toward the senior citizen population, anyone under 60 years of age can enroll in the classes if they pay regular tuition and fees.

Classes for fall 2016 include:

    Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28
  • Workshop on Wichita Pioneers
    Bel Aire Senior Center
    Sept. 12, 19, 26 and Oct. 3
  • Workshop on Music in Film
    Larksfield Place
    Sept. 8, 15, 22 and 29
  • Workshop on Religious Landscape of Kansas
    Larksfield Place
    Oct. 4, 11, 25 and Nov. 1
  • Workshop on National Politics
    Oxford Grand
    Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28

Senior citizens who have not previously been enrolled at 麻豆传媒 must pay a one-time application fee of $40. Senior citizens must present a Medicare card or valid driver鈥檚 license to validate age.
