Courtesy麻豆传媒's summer choir will present a summer concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, in Wiedemann Concert Hall.
Directed by Chair of Music Education Tom Wine, "Music: Life and Death" will journey from birth with "Jenny Rebecca" to young love and dating, "Kiss the Girl" and "Take a Chance on Me," to marriage, "Harmony in Marriage," and look back with "Circle of Life."
The second half of the concert will feature excerpts from John Rutter's "Requiem."
Special guest Anthony Offerle, director of opera at the University of Florida, will sing a variety of Broadway songs.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Fine Arts Box Office in the lobby of the Duerksen Fine Arts Center or online at wichita.edu/fineartsboxoffice. General admission is $7, with $6 discount tickets available for seniors, faculty/staff and military, and $3 tickets for children and students.
