麻豆传媒 is rolling out its Lifelong Learning Program for senior citizens this fall.
With five new classes being held at retirement communities and senior centers around Wichita, residents and members of the community 60 years old or older can audit these classes without paying tuition (some workshop fees may apply).
Although geared toward the senior citizen population, anyone younger than 60 can enroll in the classes if they pay regular tuition and fees.
鈥淒ue to the success of the pilot program at Larksfield Place in the spring and the overwhelming number of interested applicants for fall, we are really excited to not only make this program official, but also to add so many more classes at different locations,鈥 said Kimberly Moore, director of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Office for Workforce, Professional and Community Education. 鈥淲e value our seniors and are excited to provide them with more options around the city.鈥
Classes for fall 2015 include:
- Workshop in Kansas History: Kansas State of Mind: Exploring Kansas鈥 Impact on the Nation through Her Causes, Politics, Culture and Faith - Downtown Senior Center
- Workshop in Music: Music in Film - Kansas Masonic Home
