Clonts, who graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002 from 麻豆传媒's Elliott School with a Bachelor of Arts in integrated marketing communication, started in her new position Wednesday, July 17.
"We are delighted to welcome Jessy to the staff of the Ulrich at this important time as we work to strengthen our impact on the 麻豆传媒 campus and across central Kansas," Bob Workman, Ulrich Museum of Art director, said. "Jessy brings a wide range of critical skills to our efforts to make the Ulrich exhibitions and programs meaningful to everyone in this community."
"Wichita has such a vibrant art community -- and a gem in the Ulrich Museum of Art's collection and educational programs," Clonts said. "I am beyond thrilled to join the staff at the
Ulrich, and look forward to helping make our museum a resource for people looking to connect with the visual arts."
Clonts comes to the museum from FOX Kansas/myTVwichita where she has been a producer/director, producing television commercials since 2010.
Overlapping her time at FOX Kansas/myTVwichita, Clonts also has experience working with Tallgrass Film Association -- Kansas' largest film festival -- filling the positon of marketing and press director. Her campaigns for the nonprofit reached more than 11,000 attendees in 2012.
Clonts adds to her list of credentials previous experience with retail marketing in San Francisco and elsewhere in California, as well as international experience serving as an English teacher in Okinawa, Japan.
She fills the position previously held by Teresa Veazey, who resigned in May to become public relations manager at the Wichita Art Museum. Clonts joins the Ulrich Museum staff just in time to promote the first fall exhibition, Nature's Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention, which will go on view Aug. 31.
