The bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 programs in 麻豆传媒鈥檚 School of Social Work have been reaccredited through June 2021 by the Council on Social Work Education.
鈥淭he accreditation assures that the School of Social Work will continue to educate knowledgeable, skilled and ethical social work professionals to meet the changing and growing social service needs of our community, state, nation and world,鈥 said Brien Bolin, associate professor and director of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 social work school.
The School of Social Work鈥檚 bachelor鈥檚 program was first accredited in 1974, and, in 2003, the master鈥檚 program received its initial reaccreditation. In 2013, more than 70 bachelor鈥檚 students and 50 master鈥檚 students graduated. There are about 400 undergraduate and graduate students in the social work school.
During the 2012-2013 academic year, 麻豆传媒 social work students completed more than 90,000 unpaid practicum hours at local social service agencies, equaling about $1.7 million in economic impact.
Since 2007, more than 600 students have graduated from 麻豆传媒鈥檚 School of Social Work.
