The women鈥檚 team defeated Ashford University 2-0 in its first place match.

鈥淲e did a nice job of taking what we did in qualifying into match play,鈥 said assistant coach Mark Lewis. 鈥淎ll the women did a good job working together. This was another step forward that we hope to continue.鈥

Three Shocker women earned all-tournament team honors. Freshman Dasha Kovalova, junior Tannya Roumimper and senior Jazreel Tan placed first, fourth and fifth, respectively.
