In a year in which Shocker fans are excited at the prospect of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 men鈥檚 basketball team playing in the NCAA Tournament, the 麻豆传媒 Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series is bringing back four Shockers to reminisce about their journey to the Final Four in the 1964-65 season.
The 麻豆传媒 Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series invites the public to hear Shocker teammates Dave Stallworth, John Criss, Bob Powers and Mohamed Sharif (formerly Kelly Pete) share their stories during a panel discussion led by longtime Shocker broadcaster Mike Kennedy at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the Marcus Welcome Center.
The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., a panel discussion at 8 a.m., followed by a question-and-answer period that ends at about 8:30 a.m. There is an admission charge, and advance reservations are required. The cost is $18 for 麻豆传媒 Alumni Association members, $20 for nonmembers and $10 for students.

Wichita State鈥檚 only Final Four team, under the direction of coach Gary Thompson, posted a 19-7 record and won the Missouri Valley Conference title.
The season included a No. 1 ranking in the polls on Dec. 14, the only time in Shocker history the team ascended to that spot.
The Shockers finished the season with a 21-9 record, losing in the Final Four to UCLA, the eventual national champion, and Princeton in the third-place game.
Wichita State wasn鈥檛 at full strength in the NCAA Tournament, as the Shockers were without the services of Stallworth, who had used up his eligibility by mid-season.
