GlenMaye named associate provost at 麻豆传媒

麻豆传媒 recently named Linnea GlenMaye as associate provost for administration and outreach in the Office of Academic Affairs and Research. The appointment was effective Jan. 22.

The position was previously held by Keith Pickus, who became interim provost in June 2011.

鈥淗aving originally appointed Dr. GlenMaye through the emergency hire process, I felt that it was important to conduct an internal search to provide stability at this position during this period of transition,鈥 said interim provost Keith Pickus. 鈥淟innea brings a set of skills and experience to the position that have already proven to be invaluable.鈥

As associate provost, GlenMaye鈥檚 responsibilities will include faculty/personnel issues, student issues and serving as 麻豆传媒鈥檚 representative to the Kansas Board of Regents Transfer and Articulation Advisory Council.

鈥淚 am excited and honored to be part of the Provost鈥檚 Office,鈥 said GlenMaye. 鈥淥ne of my major priorities this year is to strengthen our university鈥檚 relationship with Kansas community colleges. I am looking forward to working closely with faculty and advisers to explore ways to improve the transfer process for Kansas students.鈥
