Kansas BEST robotics teams dominate Arkansas regional

Teams representing Kansas BEST dominated the regional competition once again at Frontier Trails BEST competition at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Dec. 9-10.

Wichita Home School won the BEST Award, based on a project notebook, oral presentation, table display, interview, robot performance, and overall spirit and sportsmanship. Circle High School finished third.

The game award was won by Ambassadors for Christ Academy. Wichita Home School placed second and Circle High School finished third.

Northeast Magnet made it to the semifinals, falling just short of the final four.

Campus High School also did well in the game competition before a problem with its robot kept it from making it to the semifinals.

Rose Hill High School won the most photogenic award and finished second for the most robust robot.

Ambassadors for Christ Academy also won third for most elegant robot.

The Founders Award was won by Wichita Home School, and Circle High School placed second.

The Kansas representatives qualified for the regional competition by winning the Kansas BEST competition at 麻豆传媒 Nov. 5.

The 麻豆传媒 College of Engineering Dean's Circle, a community advisory board, coordinates the Kansas BEST event.
