The Lake Afton Public Observatory has many events coming up this fall.
Astronomy Day is Saturday, Oct. 1. The day starts at 3 p.m. and includes educational and fun-filled activities, and starting at 8 p.m., you can observe the night sky through the observatory鈥檚 big telescopes.

鈥淎stronomical Zoo" is also coming up at the observatory. Just as you would expect with a terrestrial zoo, some of the objects in the sky are exotic, like the Andromeda galaxy.
The program is Oct. 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29; Nov. 18-19 and 25-26; and Dec. 16-17.
鈥淕azing at Jupiter and the Moon鈥 will allow visitors to gaze at Jupiter鈥檚 cloud bands and Galilean moons, along with the moon鈥檚 deeply shadowed craters and bright plains.
The program is Oct. 7-8; Nov. 4-5 and 11-12; and Dec. 2-3, and 9-10.
