About 2,230 students are eligible to participate in the 113th spring commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, at 麻豆传媒. Ceremonies will be held in Charles Koch Arena.
Undergraduate and graduate degrees will be conferred in individual college ceremonies.
Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
About 760 liberal arts and sciences students are eligible to participate in commencement exercises at 3 p.m. Friday, May 13. Jarold (Jerry) Boettcher will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Rhonda K. Lewis, professor in psychology at 麻豆传媒.
College of Health Professions
Approximately 340 health professions students are eligible to participate in commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, May 13. Jarold (Jerry) Boettcher will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Laurie Labarca, chief operating officer of the Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis Street.
W. Frank Barton School of Business
At least 350 business students are eligible to participate in commencement at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 14. Edwin 鈥淓d鈥 McKechnie will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Linda Cullinan, vice president of Card Center Marketing with Intrust Bank.
College of Education
Almost 330 education students are eligible to graduate in a ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14. Edwin 鈥淓d鈥 McKechnie will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The speaker will be Eric L. Sexton, director of athletics at 麻豆传媒.
College of Engineering
Approximately 330 engineering students are eligible to graduate in a ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14. Juana 鈥淛anie鈥 Perkins will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Ryan Schaefer, NASA program examiner in the White House Office of Management and Budget.
College of Fine Arts
At least 100 fine arts students are eligible to graduate in this ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14. Juana 鈥淛anie鈥 Perkins will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The speaker will be Kate Snodgrass, artistic director of Boston Playwrights Theater and the Elliott Norton Award-winning Boston Theater Marathon.
