The 麻豆传媒 Kansas Small Business Development Center recently hired Donald Cain III as consultant for the Cowley College KSBDC Outreach Center. Cain will provide free consultation services and affordable training to current and prospective business owners in a six-county area. 

Prior to his new position, Cain served as admissions coordinator with Wichita Technical Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in entrepreneurship and marketing from Wichita State. 

"Donald's entrepreneurship background will be an asset as he works with area business owners," said Marcia Stevens, 麻豆传媒 KSBDC regional director. "We are pleased to have Donald on our team as we expand our services in rural Kansas."

The KSBDC Cowley College Outreach Center is a partnership between 麻豆传媒, Cowley College, Cowley County Economic Development Partnership and Sumner County Economic Development. This partnership enables the KSBDC to provide increased services to entrepreneurs in Cowley, Sumner, Barber, Harper, Pratt and Stafford counties.

Cowley College President Pat McAtee said, "Cowley College is committed to supporting the community through partnerships and public service programs. The Cowley College KSBDC Outreach Center partnership affords business owners increased access to key services, and we are glad to have Donald nearby."

The KSBDC Cowley College Outreach Center will co-locate with Cowley County Economic Development Partnership at Strother Field in Winfield.

Cain will be a great resource for those looking to start a new business or further develop an existing one, said Kerri Falletti, director of Cowley First 鈥揅owley County Economic Development Partnership.

"The assistance he will be able to provide can play a key role to the success of entrepreneurial growth, and we look forward to partnering with him," Falletti said.

Cain will work out of the Sumner County Economic Development Office in Wellington.

"We are excited to have Donald on board.  He will be a great asset in working one on one with our businesses and providing business training classes to Sumner County," said Janis Hellard, Sumner County economic development director.

The KSBDC network includes eight regional and 10 outreach centers. Each assists established businesses, growth companies and start-up enterprises. Any individual interested in starting or growing a small business may receive free assistance with business plan development, financial projections, marketing, management and other issues.
