NPR's Carl Kasell speaking to 麻豆传媒 students as part of upcoming visit

On Tuesday, April 6, KMUW 89.1 Wichita Public Radio will welcome Carl Kasell to Wichita.

Kasell, a veteran broadcaster whose career spans more than 50 years, is the official judge and scorekeeper for National Public Radio鈥檚 weekly news quiz show 鈥淲ait Wait 鈥 Don鈥檛 Tell Me!鈥 It is KMUW鈥檚 highest ranked show.

For 30 years, Kasell provided newscasts for NPR鈥檚 daily news magazine, 鈥淢orning Edition.鈥

Kasell will take part in several events while in Wichita. At 2 p.m. he will speak to 麻豆传媒 students in 215-217 Rhatigan Student Center. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets are needed.

At 6:30 p.m. there will be a by-invitation-only VIP reception held at Century II. 麻豆传媒 Provost Gary L. Miller and his wife, Georgia, will serve as hosts.

The main event of the day, Kasell鈥檚 lecture, is at 7:45 p.m. in Century II鈥檚 Mary Jane Teall Theater. Open to the public, tickets are $10 and can be reserved at .

Anyone who makes a pledge to KMUW by noon Tuesday, April 6, will be entered to win Kasell鈥檚 voice on a home answering machine.
