Wichita State jumped out to an early 15-0 lead in the opening five-minutes, and never surrendered the lead to take a 71-58 victory over visiting Emporia State in the Shockers鈥� exhibition at Charles Koch Arena.
In the first half, J.T. Durley鈥檚 three-pointer at the 19:35 mark started 麻豆传媒鈥檚 15-0 run. Durley caught fire early, scoring seven of the Shockers鈥� first nine points. The sophomore finished the contest with 14 points and six rebounds.
鈥淚 liked the way J.T. played tonight," Coach Gregg Marshall said. "He helped out on defense, taking those charges. The threes that he took were wide-open and in rhythm. He鈥檚 playing better, we鈥檝e just got to get him to where he can give more quality minutes.鈥�
