The Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program at 麻豆传媒 is a nationally accredited, one-year postdoctoral dental residency program, the only one of its kind in Kansas. The AEGD program provides advanced comprehensive clinical experience and training for up to seven new dentists each year.
Established in 2009, the AEGD program is one of the youngest of its kind in the region and is already thriving. The curriculum now includes Private Practice Friday, part of an innovative, standalone program designed to increase residents鈥� knowledge and clinical capabilities in preparation for private practice. The training sessions closely replicate the schedule of a private practice with staggered patient appointments and each resident working two chairs and with two assistants.
The program operates a state-of-the-art clinical facility that is open to the public and offers comprehensive dental care at reasonable rates. Residents treat a variety of cases every day, encouraging innovation during patient care conferences and collaborative thinking between faculty and residents.
