Summer choir concert journeys through life, features Broadway hits

麻豆传媒鈥檚 summer choir will present a summer concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, in Wiedemann Concert Hall.

Directed by Chair of Music Education Tom Wine, 鈥淢usic: Life and Death鈥 will journey from birth with 鈥淛enny Rebecca鈥 to young love and dating, 鈥淜iss the Girl鈥 and 鈥淭ake a Chance on Me,鈥 to marriage, 鈥淗armony in Marriage,鈥 and look back with 鈥淐ircle of Life.鈥

The second half of the concert will feature excerpts from John Rutter鈥檚 鈥淩equiem.鈥

Special guest Anthony Offerle, director of opera at the University of Florida, will sing a variety of Broadway songs.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Fine Arts Box Office in the lobby of the Duerksen Fine Arts Center or online at . General admission is $7, with $6 discount tickets available for seniors, faculty/staff and military, and $3 tickets for children and students.
